Run for Congress: a 2028 primary game

Pick your real congressional district and run as a first-time Democratic challenger in the 2028 primary. Play it Quick (about 30 minutes), Standard (about an hour) or Insider (90 minutes or more): raise money (or refuse some of it), get on the ballot, hire, do podcasts, streams and rallies, buy ads, file your reports on time, then watch the results come in. Win or lose, you get a debrief that says what to do in real life.

A simulation. The incumbent's moves are modeled, not predictions about the real person.

What is real and what is modeled

  • Real: your district, who holds the seat now, the pro-Israel PAC money this site has recorded for that member and their voting score (the same figures as their profile), and your state’s 2028 ballot-access rules as Run in 2028 lists them, with their caveats: a date or amount marked “estimated” is worked out from state law and is not yet official, and a “2026 reference” figure is last cycle’s.
  • Modeled: everything else: your polling, the news, events, endorsements, the incumbent’s moves and election night. The model uses public ranges, not data about any real person, and has some luck in it, as real elections do. No event, quote or action in the game is attributed to a real person.
  • Private: the game runs in your browser. The ZIP code you enter picks a district and is never sent anywhere; your game is saved only on this device, and you can delete it any time.

This is not advice about running for office: laws, limits and deadlines change, and some in the game are simplified. Before you do the real thing, read the FEC’s guides for candidates and your state’s rules on Run in 2028.
